I am as ready to cry as to rejoice, depending on the particular topic.

Our efforts have provided us with beautiful places of worship here and all over the world, more than enough to help when disasters hit, hey, even for paying for the mistakes made for not turning in abusers to the authorities, truth be told. However, one must use common sense and intelligence when donating. We as a family unit usually donate as applicable for the monthly KH expenses and during the assemblies we donate $10 per person/per day; this sound quite reasonable and extremely affordable at this time. A heck of slot less than those crazies that give 10 percent of their earnings!
It is pathetic to see church members on street corners asking for money to fund their crap, or the silly parking lot, baked goods, etc., sales to gather funds. The way JWs do it is very dignified and thus far is working magnificently for us.

syneidos posted some interesting information on reddit regarding jw.org's latest project for the upcomming 2015 memorial campaign.. for next year's 2015 memorial campaign, jw.org is producing an invitational video featuring jesus.
the video is still being filmed at the moment and i was told it was super "confidential.
" my source already saw several scenes from it and said, "it looks and feels like a cinematic movie.
The only thing that kept going through my mind is the Org requiring us JWs to show this on our electronic devices to the people in our territory as we invite them to the memorial. Well, it should be interesting!

sorry about the confused nature of the topic but my mom (who still goes to the kh meetings) said that there will be an "assembly" on sunday where there will be a prerecorded message or talk of some sort and that it will only be half a day and won't need to bring lunch.
anyone else have heard of these or gone to one?.
i know they are changing a lot of things.

An announcement bigger than the 'generation change'?! No way!
Well, the same will happen. A few will leave, but the vast majority will stay and the Org will continue on growing.
Face it, if out of space aliens landed, religion as a whole would make some theory and continue on ticking.

oh yep...here we go..... this weeks service meeting has a part designed to show how children should be indoctrinated and manipulated into going "out in service".
the part first asks for the disturbingly corny cartoon clip to be played on the big screen at the halls: "lets go out in service!".
(if you haven't watched it yet, please go to jw.org and watch it....you simply won't beleive it until you see it!).
The courts can take over if they deem it necessary. As for us, we shall continue on the path we believe to be correct according to our beliefs.
In my 60+ years, have not witnessed a case which could not be cured/treated with other alternatives.
